MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS


Like lots of the other arts, an occupation in music can be both intensely satisfying and economically tough. This is even additional true for musicians who follow a degree in their field of interest and a well have incurred a large quantity of student loans.
It goes without saying that music scholarships can offer a vast opportunity for the freshly graduated proficient musician. With that in mind, here is a list of five music scholarships that each music student must know about.  


ASCAP Scholarships - $5,000 or more


The American Society of Composers, Publishers and Authors (ASCAP) provide more than twelve music scholarships for composers from different musical genres. Their website is a composition student’s vision come true when it comes to scholarship chances.


The Young Musicians Foundation - (40) $1,000 scholarships annually


The Young Musicians Foundation provides music scholarships age 9-2. With forty music scholarships of $1,000 each, presented in different categories for different instruments including vocalists, there is something for everybody here.


The Glenn Miller Birthplace Society - $4,000, $2,000, and $1,000

The Glenn Miller Birthplace provides three music scholarships to both vocalists and instrumentalist. A scholarship of $4,000, $2,000, and $1,000 is presented in every category. Applicants should be a graduating high school senior or a college freshman

The BMI Foundation - $1,000 or more


The BMI Foundation presents twenty various music scholarships programs, lots of honoring music icons for example Woody Guthrie and John Lennon. These programs are accessible to an extensive variety of students and musicians
The Bel Canto Opera Scholarship is open to young opera students. The scholarship amount varies.
